They just pop out. It's not that hard. I delivered three babies when I was a firefighter.

It can by hairy if there's a breach or something like that, but that doesn't happen super often. Two of the three were people who just didn't make it to the hospital. One of those was in the back of an ambulance.

The third were teenagers in a hotel room over on the coast. The couple was on vacation with one of their families and the baby started coming and they called 9-1-1.

It was one of those where the kids said they "didn't know they were pregnant" -- I can't believe the parents went along it, I think they were in denial. I don't ask questions, I just deliver the baby and say, "Welcome to reality."

I got an award each time this happened from the fire department. It was one of those little rectangle ribbons to wear on my chest like soldiers have -- three of them.
