As humans we have a better chance at keeping our environment at a temperature we can tolerate! For pets, it's completely up to their care takers! 

Dogs are very vulnerable to heat stroke. Dogs don't sweat, and rely mostly on panting to keep their bodies cool. With the expected scorching hot temps predicted to last into next week! Please make sure your pets of all kinds have a way to get out of the heat! If they HAVE to be outside, leave a sprinkler on for them, a kiddie pool for them so they can lay in, plenty of shade and cool fresh water to drink! Dogs and cats can over heat so quickly! Also rabbits or any other animal left to fend for them-self with scorching hot temps looming, are in for an unbearable struggle! So take special care and leave them in air conditioning if possible!

For livestock, like horses and cows or any other type of livestock, please provide shade, a shelter, trees or even a tarp lean to will do! Then leave sprinklers on for them or put misters out and plenty of fresh water!
