Well, it was still pretty hot on the weekend, but I did manage a nice cool ride through the corn fields with the horses and the dogs. The dogs were laying in the cool water between the corn and the horses got a nice splash while they walked through the cool water too...

I saw this on facebook this morning! Apparently they are giving it away! Seems like each year I seem to miss the boat when purchasing a floaty for the river! Last year, I saw a cool one when I was floating the Yakima, and I asked them where they got it...

Last year, I put a plastic baby pool out in the yard for my dog Crystal. She's not super fond of water, so I doubt she ever used it. She thought it was a better idea to stay  inside the house with the air conditioner turned up, so she could watch TV, lay on the couch and eat Bon Bons...

Since early March, reports have been filtering in from the Department of Defense about Air Force and Navy demonstration teams cutting performances at airshows this year due to the sequester budget cuts. The Air Force Thunderbirds, and Navy Blue Angels have already cancelled numerous festivals and flyovers, now it's hitting individual performances and flights...

When my kids were little, we had a big water trough for all the horses. When it would get really hot out, we'd fill it for the kids to swim in. It worked perfectly well! But I think our boys may have gotten teased a bit about it because all their rich friends had high end, in-ground  pools!

Temperatures are reaching new heights as we move into the summer. Sweltering humidity have made being outdoors almost unbearable. The sun is laughing at us.

Triple Digits in the forecast for the next four days!! I don't know about YOU, but I'm glad to see it finally turn into summer here! Seems like the last couple years, it's taken a LONG time for the consistently nice warm temperatures to hit. Here it is JULY, and it's just now warm in the Tri-cities!

I've noticed men who don't normally even like to cook at all in the kitchen, are downright THRILLED to Grill outside! What's up with that? It's like all of a sudden cooking becomes MANLY if it's done outside! And some men even get quite cocky about what they think are Award Winning Entree's like RIBS,or STEAK! Do YOU have a specialty that you think you grill really well?
