A new wine tasting room is set to open in the old Black Heron tasting room site at 8011 Keene Road in West Richland. If you like a nice wine, this new tasting room is worth checking out.

Bodega Palencia is set to open and according to owner Victor Palencia, the new tasting room will feature a variety of Spanish wines that includes a Tempranillo, Grenache and Albariño.

Palencia also plans to add wines to the label, focusing on varieties found in Europe’s Iberian Peninsula, which includes Spain and Portugal.

Palencia launched his company in 2013 and already has a tasting room at the Kennewick Columbia Gardens Urban Wine and Artisan Village in downtown Kennewick.

Palencia's company was named 2019 Pacific Northwest Winery of the Year by Wine Press Northwest magazine.
