Safe Harbor helps families in crisis. Here's their story:
"Since 1998 Safe Harbor Support Center has cared for thousands of children in the Tri-Cities by providing support when it was needed most for more than 2,000 families.
In early 2001 Safe Harbor began construction on a new facility in Kennewick. We opened the doors to the new nursery on Nov. 8, 2001. The new facility is over 5,000 square feet and can accommodate 21 children during the day. We are overjoyed we can now help more children than ever before.
Safe Harbor Support Center is committed to the prevention of child abuse and neglect by providing a safe and nurturing environment for children and teens when there are no other alternatives. Safe Harbor Support Center also provides outreach, support and training to assist families in establishing a safe and stable environment.
During the fifteen years we’ve been in business, our organization has received a variety recognition. In 2004, we were honored to receive the State Social Work Agency of the Year award from the Washington chapter of the National Association of Social Workers."
