Amanda Bynes Planning Acting ‘Comeback’ in 2018
Don't call it a comeback for Amanda Bynes...at least not until 2018.
The famously funny All That and Amanda Show star, whose most recent acting credit is a role in 2010's Easy A, according to iMDB, is eyeing a return to the industry in 2018, Page Six has reported. And let us all say in unison: More Amanda, please!
“Amanda is looking forward to ringing in the new year with her close friends this year,” her lawyer told the site. “In 2018, she looks forward to completing fashion school and dipping her toe back into acting."
"She has had several offers but is waiting for the right one to come along for a comeback,” she added.
Bynes gave her first interview in five years in June with Diana Madison of The Lowdown. She'd previously — and very publicly — been struggling with mental health issues and drug addiction, but said she'd finally committed to a healthy, sober lifestyle, and added she was excited to get her artistic career back on track.
“I do miss acting and I actually have something surprising to tell you," she said, "I’m going to start acting again...I want to do TV, maybe a few guest spots on some shows that I’m a fan of and maybe another TV show where I’m the star of it, in the future. That's what I hope.”
