Today in Amanda Bynes: She Could Spend a Year in the Psych Ward + Her Twitter Account Was Hacked
Amanda Bynes is finally getting the help she needs, and a judge wants to make sure she keeps getting it -- so the troubled actress could spend the next year locked up in a mental health facility.
Knowing that, it probably won't surprise you that a tweet that went out Saturday from her long-dormant Twitter account wasn't posted by Amanda herself.
Doctors who've assessed Amanda asked the judge for a long-term hold last week, and once it was granted, they transferred control of it to her mother (who's currently Amanda's legal conservator). But while Bynes could be hospitalized for up to a year, sources tell TMZ she'll probably stay at UCLA Medical Center for a couple months, and then go home with her mom for further treatment.
Meanwhile, shenanigans were afoot this weekend when Amanda's once-prolific Twitter account (silent since she was placed on a psych hold in July) suddenly sprang to life with a single tweet:
But while the sentiment wouldn't have been out of place for the actress, her lawyer insists she's not the one who wrote the missive, adding, "Amanda's Twitter account has been hacked. She is at the UCLA Medical Center with no access to phones or computers."
