B-F Health District Provides New Car Seat for Child
Just the other day West Richland Police officers responded to a call of an unrestrained child in a moving vehicle.
Officers made contact with the kid's parent and it was determined that the child had outgrown her car seat. The parent needed assistance to get a new seat.
So, this is where one of our wonderful community assets helps. The Benton-Franklin Health District operates the Safe Kids Program and provided a new car seat for the child.
The little girl has promised to stay in her seat while in the car. And now all is good.
The most important job you have as a parent is keeping your child safe.
Every year, thousands of children are injured in car crashes. When children are restrained in a proper sized car seat, they're safer.
The type of seat your child needs depends on age, size, and developmental needs.
