
Driver Facing Charges After Striking Bicyclist, Fleeing Scene in Richland
A hit-and-run suspect is now behind bars after an incident sent a bicyclist to the hospital, according to the Richland Police Department.
Driver Accused in Richland Bicycle Hit-and-Run Now Facing Charges
In a report on a Facebook posting from the Richland Police Department (RPD), officers were dispatched to a vehicle versus bicycle hit-and-run collision at Duportail Street and Keene Road on March 27, 2026, at 12:00 PM.

Richland Police Find Driver After Bicycle Crash on Keene Road
Here's the incident as filed by the Richland Police Department:
Officers arrived and learned that a large box truck had been driving south on Keene Road when it attempted to make a left turn onto Duportail St.
The truck was reportedly traveling at a high rate of speed and ran up onto the sidewalk, hitting the bicyclist.
The adult female bicyclist was transported by ambulance to an area hospital where we gratefully learned she had only minor injuries.

After a thorough investigation, the truck was located, and the driver was eventually identified.
He now faces charges of reckless driving, driving with a suspended license, and failing to stop and identify himself at a collision that caused injuries.
