YIKES! We are 14 days away from the 2020 General Election. Have you turned in your ballot yet?

As of Oct. 20, there have been 24,334 ballots that have been dropped off or mailed to the Yakima County Auditor's office, a return level of nearly 20% of its registered voters.

On Monday, I dropped off my completed ballot at the 24-hour drop box location alongside MLK Blvd in downtown Yakima. I felt like a superhero!

If you go to Google and type in the search bar "Yakima ballot drop box", it will pull up a spot where you can enter your address and find the closest drop box location nearest you.

I was just about to recommend you try this option if you haven't yet mailed/dropped off your ballot, but when I entered my home address, unfortunately, it didn't have any information listed. Bummer.

If you want info on:

  • Registering to Vote online, by mail, or in-person...
  • Update your voter info...
  • Find a Drop Box location...
  • Look up Voter Ballot Return statistics...

The best source for this info is yakimacounty.us.

If you want to know if your ballot has been accepted or not, go to voter.votewa.gov. I checked my ballot status and was relieved to see success!
