Family and friends out of state are always so jealous when I post pictures of the delicious locally grown cherries I bought for about 1/2 of what they have to pay. I love fresh, roadside stand cherries and try not to eat them all at once. Well, things might be a bit different this year. Since a mean little disease has caused havoc with cherry trees this season, it looks like we can expect millions of pounds LESS this year in both Washington and Oregon. I wonder how this will affect the prices at roadside stands. I'm gonna buy them anyway!
