Social Media

Check out your favorite businesses' social media, I've seen quite a few companies posting jobs. Recently on Instagram, The Planted Home in Glenwood Square, was searching for a part-time position to be filled. You never know what you're going to find.

First Impressions

If you are serious about finding a job, I say stopping by and speaking to someone in person is always best. Come prepared with a cover letter with specifics about the business and position you want and why you would be a good fit. With your cover letter, drop that resume on them with all the past work experience that would benefit you in your new role.

But I Don't Have Very Much Experience

Sometimes it's about attitude and willingness to learn. Maybe there's on-the-job training or if you need a certain degree or certificate the company will pay for it while you work there. Throw out whatever you thought you weren't good enough for and apply for as many positions as you can get your hands on.

I Don't Know Where to Make a Resume and Print It Out

You can always check the local library. An hour of free computer time gives you enough time to create and print out your work. If you bring a thumb drive you can then save what you created for next time. The printing should cost less than a dollar. If you're struggling to figure out where to start perhaps WorkSource would be a good place to start. They will assist with everything job-related.

Prosser Memorial Health - 39 positions are currently needing to be filled. Some positions are Per Diem/On Call, Part-Time, Full-Time, or located in Grandview.

City of Prosser - Under the I Want to Job Opportunities section they are currently hiring Exceptional Police Officers, so if you were planning on just being mediocre, try something else. Perhaps Fall Youth Soccer Referee

Roza Hills Vineyard - Located in Zillah, they are currently on the hunt for a Wine Tasting Manager.

Astria Health - Located in Toppenish they are wanting to hire a cook, a courier, and a mailroom clerk. Astria Health in Yakima is in need of a Surgery Scheduler.

Red Lion Hotel Pasco Airport and Conference Center - Wanting to hire an Assistant General Manager

Western Exterminator Company - Located in Yakima and wanting to fill a full-time position for an Outside Service Specialist immediately.

Valley Mall - Located in Union Gap is hiring at Maurices, Macy's, and many others. Apply directly with each store, not through Valley Mall.
