The Bechtel National Planetarium opens today at Columbia Basin College at 10 a.m. The most attractive aspect of the facility is a SUPER COOL projector. The open house features educational films from 12:30 to 9 p.m.The screen is 36 feet across and can seat 100.

Big Jim is heading over right after his shift. He'd like to see the stars. I'd like to know if I can reserve it for a movie party! Schools are invited to watch the stars or view educational films weekday mornings from 9-12 a.m. But what about at night? You can view the real stars at night, so can I hold a "Lord of the Rings" marathon in the evenings?
