Colville Tribe Looking Into Opening Up Casino Near Pasco
Your drive to a full-fledged casino might get shorter if the Colville Consolidated Tribes are able to develop newly-bought land outside Pasco.
A 184-acre lot has been purchased just off 395 near Kartchner Street and Capitol Avenue.
The Palus Indians are part of the Colville Tribes. The land hadn't been developed but that will change with the purchase. The Colville Tribes plan hope to develop the land in hopes of providing jobs, not just for the tribe but for many Tri-Cities residents.
The next step is for the tribe to get a gaming license before proceeding further. The land will also have to be converted into federal trust lands to be fully functional as a casino.
The Colville tribes are working with local governments and are planning meetings to begin the process.
