I went last year and brought the bicycles for the Bike Rodeo. We missed out on free helmets but went home with tons of stuff in a goodie bag. It was a blast and I'm definitely going again. Listen to our live interview below for more details!

It's 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Kadlec facility on Lee Boulevard, not the hospital parking lot as before. It's free.

The annual family safety fair brings together more than 30 community agencies and 200 volunteers to share important safety messages for parents and children.

Each year, an estimated 3,500 attend.

The event features a children's bike rodeo, car seat safety checks and bike helmet fittings. There are fire trucks and an emergency helicopter for kids to see. The children can go through a life safety house to learn how to escape the home safely in the event of a fire. Hands-on activities and information are available on water safety, poison prevention, substance abuse, early childhood development and much more.
