I love it when my grandkids want to spend some time on horseback! I hope that someday, they'll love riding as much as I do, I envision us camping out and exploring new trails all over the country together!

This past Sunday my Son Brenden, his wife Aisha, along with my oldest grandson and youngest granddaughter came to visit.

There are plenty of horse riding trails in the Tri-Cities area.

We got in some 'horsey time' and they loved it so much! I recently bought my grandson Masek, his first pair of cowboy boots at Ranch and Home and he wears them daily!

He attended a horse camp this past summer and loved it. It's inspired a desire to ride and that makes me so happy. My Grandaughter Leona loves horses too!

Of course, horseback riding can be dangerous, but isn't everything fun a little dangerous? Helmuts and riding boots are always a good idea.

I've been riding since I was 8 years old. And I honestly don't think I could have survived some parts of my life, had I not had the true partner of a horse to bring me joy, exploration and, activity!

Horse Riding Lessons in Burbank Washington

I think the best place for kids to learn to ride is on safe horses with a trained instructor.

Happy Horse Riding with Lindy is the best I've seen yet!

Horses are great for kids! And kids are great for horses! I spent my youth exploring the Santa Cruz Mountains on horseback.

Daily adventures kept me active and excited about life. So many kids sit at home and play video games all day. No wonder teenage depression is a thing.  I think it's good to get the kids outside!

Horses can teach kids a lot of things. I learned to partner well and to sacrifice for another. I learned to build corrals, feed, care for, and be responsible for another life!

At such a young age, I think these skills and the knowledge it brought, served me through adulthood.

I also know plenty of couples that ride together and have many fun ways to make memories and share adventures.

My Son Brenden and his wife Aisha took a ride as well. She is very allergic to horses but wanted to try anyway! She traveled home pretty stuffed up with hives on her body, but she had fun!
