Looking for something to do?

The Yakima Greenway has put together a Scavenger Hunt for the entire community and the best part. It's FREE! It's a Family Funfest celebration!

Over Labor Day Weekend there was a kick-off party at Sarge Hubbard Park with Live music from Jayleigh Ann and the Lost Boys, Magic from Captain Squirrel, booths, and prizes to snag from the 107.3 KFFM booth. If you missed it, no worries!

You have from now until September 11th or until supplies run out to grab yourself a pamphlet, located along the Greenway from Naches to Sarge Hubbard Park with different scavenger hunt items. Check them off or scan them on your phone to complete and take your finished hunt to Yakima Federal Savings in Loan to turn in and receive a goodie bag and a gift card to McDonald's.

The Yakima Greenway is a fantastic spot to enjoy a nice walk while the weather is still gorgeous. You can ride your bike or roller skate. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't interested in getting a pair of rollerblades and really going for it.

How to Give Back to the Greenway

In order the keep the park beautiful it takes a village and there are a few different options if you are interested in giving back

  • Gift of the Greenway - Enjoy knowing you're part of keeping the Greenway maintained
  • Rotary Playground Picket Fences - Three rotary clubs gathered their resources to update and create new playgrounds for the kiddies and they all need to be fenced. Snag a portion of the picket fence by donating and make a difference today
  • Volunteer - Bored in the house and you're in the house bored! Don't be volunteer your time and give back in so many different ways
