Huge DEA, ATF, Border Patrol Drug Bust Nabs 12 in Moses Lake
Adams County Sheriff's officials in Ritzville report Tuesday's big drug bust netted 12 arrests at a home near Moses Lake.
Some 300 agents, including DEA, ATF, Border Patrol, Grant-Adams-and Yakima County Sheriff's Deputies served 19 warrants across Grant, Adams and Yakima Counties. The big fish were in Moses Lake. Around 7am Tuesday DEA, ATF and Border Patrol agents raided a home in the 2400 block of Road E-5 Northeast in the unincorporated area of Mae Valley (near Moses Lake). 12 people were taken into custody.
Authorities say the large meth and heroin drug trafficking ring has ties to a well-known Eastern Washington gang known as Eastside Familia Norteno (ESF).
Officials say an 18-month plus long investigation led to 16 indictments being issued by a Federal Judge, which paved the way for the raid and arrests. Authorities say it's one of, if not the biggest, drug ring busted in Central Washington ever.
