
Formula Recall Follows Hospitalization of WA Infant

The Washington State Department of Health says the CDC and FDA are investigating an infant botulism outbreak linked to Nara Organics Whole Milk Organic Powdered Infant Formula.
Thurston County Infant Diagnosed and Hospitalized With Infant Botulism
Three infants in three states were involved in the outbreak. All reported cases involved infants who consumed Nara Organics powdered infant formula.

Nara Organics Recalled All Lots of Nara Organics Powdered Infant Formula
The company has voluntarily recalled the formula while the investigation continues. The recalled formula was sold nationwide through Target stores and online through Target.com and Nara.com between July 2025 - June 2026.
Infant Botulism is a Rare But Potentially Fatal Illness
It can take several weeks for symptoms to develop which include:
• Constipation
• Trouble swllowing
• Weak muscles in the arms, legs, and neck
• Floppiness, difficulty holding the head up
• Breathing problems

Advice to Consumers: Do NOT Use Recalled Infant Formula
If you have unopened cans of Nara Organics formula, throw them away or return them to where you purchased them for a refund.
