A Benton City man is in jail charged with Burglary First Degree, after an altercation in Pasco where the man allegedly assaulted another.

36-year-old Ryan Larry Jensen was booked into the Franklin County Jail.

The incident occurred Wednesday night when Pasco Police officers responded to the scene off Road 100 at about 7 pm. Upon arrival, Police found a man with a bloody nose and a woman, both accusing Jensen of entering the female's home without permission. Jensen allegedly attacked the man by surprise, repeatedly punching him. Jensen then fled the location.

Police did not find Jensen anywhere in the area and asked for Deputies from the Benton County Sheriff's Office to watch for Jensen in Benton City.

Jensen reportedly called the ex-girlfriend to say he dropped his cell phone at the home and he was going to return to pick it up.

As Jensen was leaving his home, Deputies detained him. Pasco Police Officers went to arrest Jensen for the burglary. They also had Jensen's cell phone from the ex-girlfriend's house as evidence.

Jensen was booked into the Franklin County Jail for Burglary First Degree.

Anyone with information about this incident is urged to contact Police at 509-628-0333.
