Kennewick Man in Custody After Breaking Into CG Public House
A Kennewick man is in custody after Police say he broke into a local business Saturday morning. Employees found a male passed out in the bar area of the locked building.
After investigation, Police learned the suspect broke a window to gain access into CG Public House and Catering on Clearwater Avenue.
Police contained the establishment and began communication with the suspect. Benton County Sheriff's Deputies, Washington State Patrol, and Kennewick Police K9 Ivan all were brought in to assist in the incident.
The suspect refused to follow commands from officers to leave the building. However, when K9 Ivan was about to enter, the suspect was smart and decided to comply with instructions to exit the establishment. (I guess he was familiar with Ivan's perfect record of doing whatever is necessary to get the job accomplished.)
32-year old Jose Gomez was arrested for Burglary 2nd Degree. He was booked into the Benton County Jail.

It's always great when the team comes together and there's a great turnout. Hopefully, Jose Gomez will get the help he needs. In any case, he'll will be spending some time in the Benton County Jail resulting from his criminal activities.
