Over 900 Kadlec Nurses are set to vote to strike on October 29th and October 30th if negotiations between the WSNA (Washington State Nurses Association) and Providence who owns Kadlec Medical Center break down.

According to statements issued by the WSNA, Kadlec Nurses have been negotiating in good faith over the last year without a resolution.

Kadlec also continues to bargain in good faith with the WSNA.

They released a statement that reads:

Kadlec continues to bargain in good faith with the WSNA. We look forward to our next negotiation session on October 25, focused on reaching an agreement that both demonstrates how valuable our employees are to us and also allows us to deliver on our mission of providing safe, compassionate care. We have a long history of caring for members of our community and we will continue to do so in all situations.

There have been 14 bargaining sessions and 4 with an impartial mediator according to the WSNA. The next session is scheduled for October 25th and if a resolution isn't reached, the nurses then will decide to vote to strike on October 29th and October 30th.
