Who knew there was more to ketchup than Heinz? I know of some other brands like Del Monte and Hunts. However, what I recently discovered, is that Portland (As in Portland, Oregon) has its own brand. Who knew?

I was out to eat in Tri-Cities recently, and discovered the ketchup on the table wasn't your original Heinz brand. Nope. It was Portland Ketchup Company Organic Ketchup.

So, of course, I had to do some investigating. I googled, and found that Portland Ketchup Company is a part of Portlandia Foods.

Back in 2010, Jeff Bergadine and Michael Deal decided it was time to disrupt conventional thinking in the condiment market. Their goal: to deliver healthier, more sustainable condiments while remaining affordable and accessible to all. So they developed a recipe for an organic ketchup with less sugar and salt, yet a bold, savory flavor.

This organic ketchup is low in sugar, gluten-free, and vegan. And, it's made in Portland.

Admittedly, I don't like ketchup on anything. But this stuff was a hit with my husband! He gave it two thumbs up! Jeff raved about this tasty ketchup all night long.

And, after visiting Portlandia Foods online, I found that they have much more than ketchup. They also sell BBQ sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and my favorite, MUSTARD.
