Local Park Profile – Jason Lee Park is Quiet and Clean
Across the street from Jason Lee Elementary School, Jason Lee Park had everything my 5-year-old son and I needed for a perfect a bonding time.
It has one small set of climbing toys for children, several beautiful evergreen trees, a very small batting fence for kick-ball games or non-serious batting practice, two or three benches and tables perfect for picnics and a wide open field.
My son's favorite thing about this park was its climbable trees. My favorite thing was how clean it was.
The surface below the climbing toys was wood chips. The grass was not mowed recently, but was dense and even – perfect for throwing a Frisbee or kicking a soccer ball around.
This park was in a nice neighborhood and was close to, but not on, Van Giesen.
This is not the right park for a serious baseball, softball or soccer game. Nor would it be right for a large family reunion. It would be perfect for playing catch with Fido or a small get-together.
