RESIDENT FIREFIGHTER PROGRAM
Grant County Fire District #3 is excited to introduce you to our resident firefighter program. The primary intent of the program is to provide a positive experience, opportunity and training to young men or women interested in pursuing a career in the fire service.
ABOUT US... Grant County Fire District #3 (GCFD3) provides full service fire protection, prevention, rescue and BLS emergency medicine in the heart of Central Washington, with its main station located in Quincy. It is comprised of 504 square miles of industrial, residential, mixed rural agriculture, and wild land terrain. There are 18 miles of the I90 corridor, two large recreation areas and the Gorge Amphitheatre located within its diverse boundaries. GCFD3 has seven stations, three of which having resident quarters, and serves a population of approximately 11,000 with around 600 calls per year. GCFD3 has a staff of six career firefighters, two administrative staff, 80 volunteer firefighters and 15 community support division volunteers.
ABOUT OUR RESIDENT PROGRAM... Resident firefighters are individuals who are selected to live within one of GCFD3's facilities and make it their primary residence, with five nights per month granted away from the station. The resident firefighter is provided with living accommodations, utilities, internet access, television, and laundry. They are provided full structural and wild land protective clothing (excluding wild land boots), a class B uniform shirt, and duty tee shirts. Training and educational opportunities are both offered and required in the classroom setting and "hands on" atmosphere. IFSAC FF1, including HazMat Operations courses are taught, and EMT class is provided with residents contracted to pass certification (as available) within one year of residency. Resident Firefighters are required to pull approximately ten scheduled 12 hour shifts from 18:00 to 06:00, with no less than one weekend per month. During shifts residents will respond to calls (commensurate with their level of training), perform station and vehicle cleaning and must be self-disciplined in their studies. Residents receive a $50 stipend for food each month, along with $200 monthly for expenses. Resident firefighters are also encouraged to participate in the per diem firefighter program with GCFD3 to augment their pay.

DESCRIPTION: The Box Office Supervisor is responsible for varied and multiple tasks primarily associated with customer service, the sale of tickets, and other items sold by the box office. The secondary responsibilities may include accounts payable auditing and processing, employee paperwork, time card corrections, and payroll preparation. Primary tasks involve daily customer service functions for the TRAC Center and sale of tickets as well as handling and reconciling cash and credit card transactions of the box office and those of a computerized ticket vendor. This position is one of "utility" and necessitates adaptability to instruction. Customer courtesy, proper telephone etiquette and attention to detail are essential.
