Police were called Sunday morning around 11:40 AM for a report of two men having a disturbance or fight near 6th and Lewis. When Police arrived, one man was found to be fatally stabbed.

The man who was fatally shot by two Officers is Gabriel Artz. His hometown was not specified. According to the SIU:

"After Pasco Police were dispatched to this incident based on 911 calls made by civilian witnesses, Officer Jasen McClintock was the first officer to arrive on scene. Officer Jeremy Jones arrived approximately the same time in a separate police vehicle. Officer McClintock and Officer Jones attempted to establish verbal communication with Mr. Artz who was still in the immediate vicinity of the homicide. In their efforts to communicate with, and attempts to de-escalate the contact, officers used deadly force against Mr. Artz after he appeared to initiate an attack attempt on the officers."
