Most People Feel Completely ‘Overwhelmed’ A LOT!
You are not alone if you feel stressed or overwhelmed often
This is not surprising but it is sad. We weren't meant to feel so much stress. Or are we? How much of the stress we encounter do we bring on ourselves?
I don't feel stressed out too often. But, when it does hit...It's usually because I've booked my schedule so full that I hardly have time to breathe let alone relax.
For me, if I don't purposely make time for myself to do the things in life that bring me joy and make me happy...I'll just be a complete mess! Riding horses, hiking, and spending time with my kids and grandkids are necessities for my survival.
It's also important to space out events or projects for rest time in between in order to recuperate from the things that cause stress.
Find ways to manage your stress like exercise
I also think it's really important to plan to have FUN in your life. There are plenty of things to do that are fun even if you are low on funds. Simply dancing around the house while listening to good music can help your mind, body and soul feel joy! (of course we are happy to provide you with the music on 98.3 The Key!
Even fun things like vacations and parties can add stress to your life.
I find exercise is key to managing stress too. I make sure I walk my dogs almost every day for about 3 1/2 miles because they even get stressed out if they aren't getting time to sniff, explore, and exercise. It's equally important for our pets as well as ourselves.
