The Central Washington State Fair has announced its first two entertainment acts for  this year -- Nelly Diamond Selling and country's Josh Turner will perform in Yakima this September.

Nelly, the Grammy-winning rapper known for such hits as “Hot in Here,” “Dilemma”  (featuring Kelly Rowland) “Country Grammar,” “Ride Wit Me,” “Just a Dream” and “Cruise,” plays the Corona Stage at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 21 as part of the US Cellular Concert Series.

An entrepreneur, philanthropist and actor, Nelly stepped onto the national music scene in 2000.

Since then, he's performed on NBC's "The Voice" and "The American Music Awards, as well as ABC's "Greatest Hits." He has also been a judge on CW's "The Next." And he's appeared in such films as the reboot of "The Longest Yard" with Adam Sandler and Chris Rock, and in "Reach Me" with Sylvester Stone.

Along with Michael Jordan, Nelly is also part owner of the Charlotte Bobcats NBA franchise.
