Would you get this test if it was widely available in the U.S. ? Do you want to know how long you'll live?

A blood test that should be available in Europe by the end of the year could give you a pretty good indication of how fast you are aging and how much longer you will live.

The test measures telomeres, structures on the end of each of your chromosomes, which scientists think may hold the key to determining a person's "true age."

Research has linked shorter than average telomeres to shorter than average lifespans. However, at this point, there is little evidence suggesting that having longer than average telomeres means you are going to live longer.

The test will cost about $700. Would you even want to take a test that revealed how much time you had left?
