Richland 1 Step Closer to Imposing Car Tab Fee to Fund Bridge Project

Owning and driving a vehicle in the Richland City limits could cost you more! The Richland City council voted last night on adding an annual $20 car tab fee to Richland car owners...

A vote of 6-0 meaning 6 council members voted FOR creating a Transportation Benefit District and imposing a $20 a year car-tab fee to fund the 38 million dollar Duportail Bridge Project.  The fee would collect some $850,000 in revenue which would use about $340,000 towards the Bridge project and the rest would go towards repairing and maintaining city roads...

Another vote is needed to finalize and impose the fee to Richland car owners...
