Driver Crashes into Barrier Injuring Richland Child [PHOTOS]
A 3-year old boy was sent to the hospital after an accident Monday on I-182 near the Yakima River Bridge.
According to Washington State Patrol, the incident happened just before noon. A driver was forced to slow down due to traffic flow and overcorrected, causing the vehicle to hit a cable barrier.

The boy was injured as a result of the collision. Another vehicle struck debris in the roadway. The occupants of the second vehicle were not injured.
The boy was transported to Kadlec Regional Medical Center.
WSP has determined the driver that struck the cable barrier was driving too fast for conditions. Read more from our news partners at KAPP/KVEW here.
In another incident on Tuesday, Benton County Sheriff's Deputies were called to the scene of a non-injury incident on South Lincoln Road in Prosser.
The 16-year old driver and his passenger were traveling too fast on the gravel road which caused the teen to lose control of the vehicle. The vehicle went off the side of the roadway and stopped before rolling.
I'd say these two are very lucky. It looks like it could have been a whole lot worse. Thank goodness the vehicle stopped and did NOT roll.
If you take anything away from these incidents, please be cautious. Drive for conditions. What's your hurry?
