Ariel Gourmet and Gifts in Richland has been in business for over 40 years in the Parkway but recently shuttered its doors. The good news is that the store lives online and is open for business for online orders.

Ariel's has been in the Parkway since 1977 but now will be an online store. They still offer all the great gifts and unique one of a kind of items that the store is known for.

If you go to the website  https://ariel-gourmet.com/ , you'll see a notice that the storefront has closed but you can still order items online easily through their website.

It's sad to see another Richland storefront close but I like that this one has a silver lining as the store will be online and you'll still be able to shop and buy all your favorite items from Ariel Gourmet and Gifts.

Do you remember all the other stores that have shut down over the years? I remember the Bonanza 99 cent store as a kid. I think I remember best just because of the huge yellow sign that hung above the door.

I also grew up in the era of K-Mart - oh yes, the blue light special and those Icee's with the polar bear on the side of them.

K-mart was one step from Goodwill for me as a kid. I know that if we could actually afford Sears and JC Penney, that was the next level up.

As a kid for me, The Bon Marche was the rich kid's place to shop. Take a look at the gallery below of the 50 retail chains and brands that no longer exist, I'm sure you'll find a few you'll recognize that no longer exist.
