You're not allowed to drive there. You're not allowed to camp there. You definitely can't farm or ranch there. It's been federally protected since the early 1980s.
It's the Juniper Dunes Wilderness. Many of the Junipers there are more that 150 years old! And the wind blown dunes are as high as 130 ft! Wilderness areas are protected habitats.
This area is also safe haven to mule deer, bobcats, skunks, porcupines, weasels, quail, hawks, kangaroo rats, mice, owls, quail, partridge, pheasants and rattle snakes!
