98.3 The Key along with our local Townsquare Media radio stations – 102.7 KORD, 97 Rock, 97.5 Cool FM, and Newstalk 870 KFLD will join the City of Kennewick along with hundreds of volunteers and businesses for a special September 11th memorial and dedication of a steel column from the World Trade Center. This special dedication ceremony happens at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 11th at the new Southridge Sports Complex in Kennewick.  After the ceremony, those in attendance will have the opportunity to help simultaneously release three-thousand red, white, and blue balloons into the Tri-City skies - honoring the approximate number of victims of the 9-11 attacks.

98.3 The Key, Townsquare Media, and the City of Kennewick invites the public to this special event and to share in the balloon release experience. Those wishing to release a balloon are asked to arrive at least a half hour early. The ceremony begins at 1:00 p.m. followed by the balloon release at approximately 1:30 p.m.

Special thanks to Oxarc Pasco for providing the helium and the Paper Factory in the Broadmoor Mall for the balloons.
