It was mandatory when I was younger to learn cursive handwriting in school but that requirement hasn't been mandatory in years.

We generally learned cursive handwriting in 3rd grade but over the years it's optional learning but some states are now requiring cursive writing to be taught.

Schools in Texas are now requiring students to be proficient in cursive starting in 2nd grade and finishing up by 5th grade.

Washington State is optional with the adaptation of Common Core standards but is it time for cursive handwriting to make a comeback?

Washington State tried to pass a bill in 2016 but it failed to get any traction.

I know it was a part of my schooling and some advocates say that it teaches fine motor skills so is it time to bring back cursive handwriting?
