Southridge High School wanted to send off their Special Olympians in true Southridge fashion.

School Resource Officer Tony Valdez Said Most of the second hour classes came down and lined the main hallway on both sides before the student Olympians went out to their bus. As the Olympians came out, they were met with cheers and high fives, all the way down to the end of the hallway, where the band played the fight song as they were leaving the school.

They then were met by Leadership students who had made individual signs for each of the Olympians, wishing them luck in the events in which they are competing. We are proud of our Special Olympians. They are an important and loved part of Southridge High School.
