Suspects Finally Arrested In Kennewick Klamath Ave Shooting
Kennewick Police have an arrest for a drive-by shooting that occurred on October 8th.
The incident happened on Klamath Ave and Kennewick Police released a press release updating the details on the case
Here is what KPD is reporting:
On 10-08-2021, during the drive-by shooting investigation, a KPD detective and patrol officer contacted an involved party in the incident, in the trailer park. He had been hiding and it appears that he believed that police had cleared the area and came out to examine his damaged vehicle, which was caused by the earlier gunfire.
Upon contact, the male subject, identified as Michael Figueroa (46), a convicted felon, retreated behind a vehicle and removed a firearm from his beltline, and discarded it. Figueroa was arrested and booked into jail for outstanding warrants and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm in the 1st Degree.
On 10-9-2021, KPD patrol officers located the vehicle, a late 90's pickup truck, used in the drive-by shooting in the 100 block of N Fillmore St. The vehicle was seized pending a search warrant.
On 10-12-2021, KPD Detectives arrested Deacon Stevenson (45) for his involvement in the drive-by shooting on 10-8-2021. Stevenson was booked into the Benton County Jail for Drive-by Shooting.
KPD Detectives also located Khiry Jackson (32), a convicted felon, and arrested him for his involvement in the drive-by shooting. Jackson was booked into the Benton County Jail for Drive-by Shooting, Assault - 1st Degree, and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm - 1st Degree.
