The Tri-City Dust Devils will don the Columbia River Rooster Tails persona to commemorate the annual Tri-City Water Follies.

The event brings over 65,000 spectators to watch the hydroplanes and airplanes in the air but this year it's not going to happen due to the lingering effects of the pandemic.

H1 Unlimited hydroplanes are the fastest racing boats.  With deep history, the 116 year-old sport ‘s majority of hydroplanes are powered by turbine-engines that produce 3,000 horsepower, allowing the H1 Unlimited hydroplanes to reach speeds of nearly 200 mph, producing a massive 60-foot tall, 300-foot long wall of water called a roostertail behind them.  With very few restrictions, these majestic

Kids and adults alike will love checking out the hydro planes at the Columbia Center Mall today. It's their annual event and you can stop by and snap photos and meet the racers and crew.

I might be too young for the memory of the boat races from the 1980's, but one year really stands out and that is 1987. It was the year that the Boat Races had a huge riot. I'm a newbie to the Tri-Cities so what is the deal with the riot of 1987?
