In the last week, unknown subject(s) broke into one of the Lower Valley fire stations and stole eleven sets of personal gear. This puts our valley fire fighters in a bind, by not having the proper protection they need for their calls. All the gear says “YCFD 5” on the back.
By now we have all heard of a 15 yr old boy responsible for starting the eagle creek fire.
He could be ordered to pay for the costs of fighting the Eagle Creek fire, (possibly millions) His parents might have to pay some of the bill for the damage done...
The eagle creek fire keeps spreading and spreading! on September 5th 2017 Firefighters were scrambling to save Multnomah Falls lodge. The fire was only feet from our beloved lodge! But fire fighters were able to save it!!
Eagle creek fire has grown to 10,000 acres and doesn't seem to be slowing down...
It looks like another wildfire is on the loose near Yakima in the small community of Selah, Washington.
It appears the fire started this morning and still continues to burn the mountainside above Selah.
Fireman Cory Kalanick from Fresno, CA used his GoPro while out on duty. The footage shows Kalanick and his fellow firefighters walking through a house after a fire has been contained, checking each room to make sure everyone has gotten. As he walked into a bedroom he found a small kitten, left for dead in a smoke filled room. Kalanick picks up the feline and heads outside to bring the little guy, simply known as 'Lucky', back to life.
