Since January of this year, WA state average unleaded gas prices have now risen $.75 cents.

Maybe you've noticed, maybe you haven't because you are actively seeking out the lowest pump prices around, but the average price of gas in Washington State has gone up six weeks in a row.

Anybody else seeing alleged prices as low as $4.19?

I've put together a list of the cheapest gas prices in the Tri-Cities area. I've also included the highest gas price in the state, just so you know that it could be worse.

Locally, as of Thursday, Sept. 1st, the cheapest reported gas we found in Columbia Basin was $4.09.

Gas prices suck right now. We all feel it. According to AAA, the average price of a regular gallon of gas in Washington State right now is just under $5.20. It doesn't help that Washington State has the 3rd highest gas-tax in the U.S. But what can you do...

The crime is nothing new, it's happened elsewhere. But this is the first time in SE or Central WA we've heard of people actually siphoning gas from the underground storage tanks. This takes just a wee bit more tech than pump and peel away without paying, or stealing from a car's gas tank.

Given what the suspect did with the vehicle, we wondered.
