Washington State has had its share of unsolved mysteries over the years. One that stands out and still baffles many to this day is the “Maury Island Incident,” which happened a few days before the famous Roswell UFO event.
According to the National UFO Reporting Center, residents of Washington State have reported 6885 UFOs since the reporting center was founded in 1974. That’s an average of 143 reports a year in Washington. Only California and Florida have more.
Since August 1, 2022, there have been 20 UFO sightings reported in Washington. Which is slightly above average, and it’s not surprising, as Washington ranks number one in the nation for UFO sightings.
It appears UFOs like to visit Washington more than any other state because we have the most reported sightings on record -- even beating out UFO hot bed New Mexico!
