This is no JOKE...The Yakima Nation Fisheries plan to release hundreds of Pacific Lamprey in the Yakima River this weekend!

Yakima river floaters will finally have an official park to launch their tubes from in spring of 2017. The City of West Richland is building a river front park which will have parking and bathrooms and access to the Yakima river.

After the drought left farmers and homeowners frustrated last summer many wondered why we couldn't pull more water out of the Columbia River. A news analysis of proposed bills gives a disturbing insight into the process.

According to Benton City resident and KORD personality Ed Dailey, the Yakima River over-flowed its banks about 2 a.m. and has slowly receded since.

We've seen the Yakima River at some of its lowest levels this summer during the drought, but flash flooding from autumn storms this week has it surging.
