WA Fans of ‘Dwight’ from The Office: A Halloween Costume ‘Mini Me’

My kids get pretty into Halloween! They must get that from their Dad! Well, both my sons have wives who are excellent at creating festive and memorable moments for all the Holidays so that certainly has a lot to do with it.

Halloween Costumes for Kids can be a challenge

My Kids did well with costumes for my grandkids this year and they enjoyed their school festivities for Halloween. I thought my eldest Grandson Masek's costume as "Dwight" from The Office was Spot On!

As the Grandmother, I get to enjoy all the cute costumes and festivities with the grandkids! As well, I'll probably get to steal a piece of Halloween candy or two while I'm there visiting.

What Halloween candy will you steal from your kids baskets this year?

I remember when my kids were young, I considered most holidays just another thing I had to "Do" along with a million other things...I really wasn't good at creating fun costumes or a fun environment back then. I regret that.

I suppose some years were better than others. And I TRIED. But I was never good at it I'm afraid.

I'm horrified to admit that one year my husband and I thought it was super hilarious to dress our toddler boys up as Chippendale dancers! What were we thinking??? I might be sent to jail for that nowadays!

They wore satin pants and were bare-chested with black bow ties around their necks. We'd played music and they would dance!

We took them trick-or-treating at the MALL for heaven's sake! I can't imagine what the more 'sane' parents were thinking.

I'm horrified at the memory. But honestly, our intentions weren't bad. We just didn't think about it in "Appropriate terms"

Of course, it was a different world back then. But, still...

We were in our 20's at the time and let's just say we were naive. We didn't always make the best choices which is sometimes the case for most young adults.

Maybe this is why sometimes it's best to wait till you are a little older and mature before having children.

My Grandkids are being raised with a generation that understands these things much better thank heavens!

Hey, all we can do is our best and try to give ourselves some grace on the things we didn't do so well raising our kids.
