A 24-year-old Kennewick man will spend 10 years in prison, followed by at least five years of court supervision for selling highly deadly Fentanyl.

Taylor Fertig was arrested earlier this year during a series of drug sweeps through the Tri-Cities, including a mobile home in Finley. He was one of at least eight people taken into custody.

The drugs he was selling were disguised to look like prescription oxycontin, but Fentanyl packs a much more lethal punch, and is far deadlier than heroin. Fentanyl is believed to be one of (if not the leading cause) of overdose deaths in the U.S. for "painkillers."

Fertig was said to be the first in the area to be selling these newer "disguised" pills.
