A recent case in Kennewick is a good reminder to sit down with your middle school age children about sending nude selfies to other children.
Kennewick Police are reminding parents that they'd be shocked on how many cases they've investigated right here in the Tri-Cities of kids sending nude selfies back and forth among friends, girlfriends and boyfriends.
A middle school student a selfie to her ex-boyfriend and he shared it among his friends which caught the eye of a school official.
Talk with your kids about the danger of sending selfies and remind them that photos on the internet can stay out there forever. The Kennewick Police Department are asking that parents monitor their kids social media and watch out for fake anonymous profiles.
KPD is also reminding parents that students sharing the photos can be implicated on child pornography charges.
