The Tri-Cities has been in a deep freeze for the last few weeks even breaking a record for coldest temperature in over 100 years and it's beginning to wreak havoc in ways we've never seen such as non functioning railroad crossing gates...

I've read several posts from Tri-City drivers about the Railroad crossing on Edison Street in Kennewick which is near Kamiakin High School and the other  crossing which apparently was damaged by a crash a few weeks ago is located at Van Giesen & the Bypass highway in Richland are not working properly.

BE CAREFUL LOOK BOTH WAYS WHEN CROSSING RAILROAD TRACKS

So what do you do if you spot a non functioning rail road crossing???

You should call BNSF's emergency number at 800-832-5452 to report any railroad emergency, including the false activation of gates and lights. This number will connect you directly to BNSF's Resource Operations Command Center, which is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
