What your kids are doing, especially on social media or while they're texting friends, is coming up with ways to hoodwink you, Mom and Dad, as to what the heck they are talking about.

Your sneaky little buggers have worked out several codes to avoid writing actual words.

The following is a mere small sample of what to look for (W2L4) if you go snooping. PLEASE feel free to comment and leave your own suggestions to help us all bridge the generation gap:

53X = sneaky way to type "sex"

KMS = kill myself

LH6 = let's have sex

KYS = kill yourself

MOS or POS = mom or parent over the shoulder

GNOC = get naked on camera

99 = parents are gone

WTTP = want to trade photos?

LMIRL = let's meet in real life

CU46 = see you for sex

PAL = parents are listening

GYPO = get your pants off
