Woman Fleeing Police Triggers 3-Car Crash Near Walla Walla

Authorities continue to investigate a Tuesday afternoon crash on State Route 125 near Walla Walla, which sent two people to the hospital.

Around 3:40 pm, 29-year-old Jillian Hamilton of Walla Walla was southbound on the highway when she slammed into two other vehicles at the intersection of South Meadowbrook Street. They were stopped at a traffic light.

Three people from Pendleton in a Hyundai Elantra were the first vehicle hit, they were taken to Providence St. Mary's Medical Center. Their condition is not known. Another person from College Place was in the second car hit, they were treated at the scene.

Police have not said why Hamilton was fleeing them, but they did say she was one of five people arrested for drugs at a home in Walla Walla last December.
