Worlds Best “She Shed” is in Prosser

Man Caves and She Sheds, from neon beer signs, pool tables, and wine racks, to wicker furniture, I have seen nearly everything that makes up a great spouse hide-away. Men started this trend many moons ago. Somewhere, someone decided they needed a room designated for boys only (no wives allowed), then filled these rooms with stupid boy stuff and called it a "man cave"! It didn't take long before women decided they deserved a man cave too, but couldn't call it a man cave, so this is where the term "she shed" originated.

Recently I came across the absolute BEST she shed (that I have seen) in the world! Well, in MY world at least! It is a 10X16, 160-square-foot shed that has been transformed into the tiniest, most adorable, cozy bakery. It is a fully functioning kitchen, and boys are not allowed! It is equipt with a full-size fridge and refrigerator, a commercial size oven, cooling racks, microwave, and mixers. If it is used for baking, you will find it in Louann's She Shed, located in Prosser Washington.

Personally, nothing helps me decompress more than whipping up a batch of homemade buttermilk biscuits. However, not if someone is in my kitchen! Whether it be a spouse, a child, or a four-legged creature, I don't want anyone or anything in my kitchen when I am baking. I am so excited about my she shed tour today so I can start taking notes and making plans. Everyone needs a little time to themselves and after seeing this tiny bakery I have big ideas, even if it has to start with a tin shed in the neighbor's backyard! I have to start somewhere!
