
Yakima Police Arrest Woman After Multiple Shots Fired in Neighborhood
A woman is in custody after firing multiple shots at a neighbor on Monday in Yakima.
Police responded to the 400 block of North 6th Avenue around 5 pm for a report of multiple shots fired. Upon arrival, officers reported that additional shots were heard. A caller reported that a woman fired several shots at a neighbor in an altercation. The female suspect allegedly fired at the neighbor's car. No one was injured in the shooting. The female suspect then went inside a neighboring residence.

As Police surrounded the residence, they heard gunfire inside.
Several attempts were made to make contact with the female suspect who was non-cooperative. After investigation, it was learned that there was a domestic partner inside the residence with the shooter.
Officers heard a voice calling for help.
As Police made contact with the female suspect at a window of the home, another voice was heard pleading for assistance to get out of the home.
Police then sent a K9 into the residence to make contact with the shooter.
Police were also able to enter the residence. The K9 made contact with the alleged shooter and Police were able to take her into custody. Soon after, officers located the suspect's partner who was calling for help. She was not injured.
